Vom Mittwoch, den 30. Juni bis Sonntag, den 4. Juli 2021 veranstaltet die GESELLSCHAFT FÜR EKMELISCHE MUSIK in Zusammenarbeit mit der UNIVERSITÄT MOZARTEUM SALZBURG ein fünftägiges Symposium via Zoom Meeting mit Vorträgen zum Schwerpunkt Mikrotonale Musik. Zu erwarten sind dabei Lectures von Spezialisten aus Frankreich, China, Schweiz, UK, Estland, Italien, Deutschland, USA, Österreich, Griechenland, Mexiko, Kanada, Türkei, Chile, Iran, Ukraine, Litauen und Belgien. Gleichzeitig wird im Rahmen des Symposiums auch das Buch “Mikrotöne: Small is Beautiful” Volumen III (Mackinger Verlag) präsentiert.
Die Internationale Gesellschaft für Ekmelische Musik wurde 1981 von Franz Richter Herf und Rolf Maedel gegründet und hat ihren Sitz in Salzburg. Die von den beiden Professoren entwickelte Ekmelische Musik hatte Salzburg zu einem neuen Zentrum mikrotonaler Musik werden lassen – so ergab sich die Notwendigkeit, künftige künstlerische und wissenschaftliche Aktivitäten in der Form einer Gesellschaft zu koordinieren.
Die Gesellschaft war bisher (Mit)Veranstalter mehrere Symposien zu Themen wie “Mikrotöne” (1989, 1992), „Naturtöne“ (2007) oder „West-östlicher Einklang (2015, 2017, 2019)
„Mikrotöne: Small is beautiful“ findet Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg und anderen statt. Organisation: Agustín Castilla-Ávila.
Auf Grund der Pandemie werden alle Vorträge online präsentiert und wir werden keine Konzerte ausrichten.
